It was weird and didn't seem to be very deeply thought through. Most of them used melee weapons exclusively, and even the ones who didn't had crazy long reload animations as a sort of reference to old-timey firearms. These pirates looked like they actually were pirates and not just show pieces, a la the Walk in the Park enemies (their gear was rusty and sci-fi as opposed to being purposefully animatronic or retro), but they didn't feel practically built for pirating at all. After getting the Backyard Key go to the shed in the Public Swimming Pool area, open it and interact with the button to drain the pool and make. It is HIGHLY recommended to finish Norm's sidequest (See Homebreaker) to get the Backyard Key as it makes CAIN's fight a lot easier since it cuts off an entire health bar and a lot of his more annoying attacks. In terms of his fight it's a pretty simple one. They tend not to be more humanoid than necessary, and built with an industrial sort of feel rather than a classic sci-fi look. CAIN is the last boss of the DLC located inside of the Swimming Pool after disabling him. One of the Surge series' distinctive features is that the robots you see are pretty practical looking. Like damn, I really wanted to like this, and I was really hoping it would be a step up from the base game's plot (which suffered from the same bullet-point-itis and a constant desire to make things as over-the-top and dramatic as possible). The Surge 2 Lag Fix PC Hello, I just fixed the lag on my game by simply removing 2 cores from the game process. Non-linearity is the name of the game in The Surge 2. It felt like the devs were struggling to tell a story with ten hours worth of bullet points in one or two hours, and most of those bullet points probably wouldn't even have mixed that well together in a full-length story (like how robot pirates apparently just exist in the world of The Surge, or how evil AI dialogue went from creepy snippets of human conversations in Surge 1 to yelling about meatbags and joining the collective in this DLC). The Surge 2 is also placing a huge focus on allowing players to tackle the game and all its missions in whatever order they see fit. The enemies and level mechanics were, taken altogether, pretty good (loved fighting the big guys particularly), the level itself looked really good, but the writing and pacing felt super off.
